Navid Azizan
Esther and Harold E. Edgerton Career Development Assistant Professor
Navid Azizan is the Esther and Harold E. Edgerton Career Development Assistant Professor in IDSS and MechE, a Principal Investigator in LIDS, and a Core Member of the Statistics and Data Science Center. His research interests broadly lie in machine learning, control theory, mathematical optimization, and network science. He and his research group develop theoretical foundations and practical methodologies for enabling large-scale intelligent systems that can learn and operate autonomously, safely, and efficiently in dynamic and uncertain conditions. Prior to joining MIT, he received his PhD in Computing and Mathematical Sciences (CMS) from the California Institute of Technology (Caltech) and was a postdoctoral fellow in the Autonomous Systems Laboratory (ASL) at Stanford University. He was also a research scientist intern at Google DeepMInd.
